Charlie's Angel Masks

Handmade Protective Face Masks for Young Children - Made and donated by Marcie & Chris Christensen

Details: Fun fabric designs, adjustable ear loops, triple layer protection, extra room between mouth and mask for tongue thrust or sensory needs. Double thick nose bridge wire for small nose bridges.

STORY BEHIND THE MASKS. Marcie and her husband Chris live in Pleasant Hill and started making masks in March 2020 because Marcie's mother was in assisted-living and they had little to protect the residents at the time. Marcie went on to join a group of women making masks for board and care facilities, nursing homes, etc. and they became known as the Masketteer's. As a group they created and donated over 11,000 masks. Marcie and Chris alone have cut, sewn and generously donated 5,000 masks to date. A family from the DSCBA received a Charlie's Angel mask and said it fit their son perfectly. Learning of this news, the Christensen's reached out to the DSCBA offering to donate several hundred masks for young children with Down syndrome as they had a very special connection. The masks are named after Chris's cousin, Charlie. He was born with Down syndrome.

Charlie Miller. 12/8/1946 - 6/9/2004

The masks are being offered for no charge, but there is a $5 shipping fee in your order total.
