Someone who has strong teaching and facilitating skills and experience working with children with special needs in a small group setting of 8-10 students. This is a paid position, currently envisioned as 2-2.5 hours per week on average which includes prep time and class time. Staff meetings and other meetings that are required will be compensated as well. This position starts at $20 per hour (in class time), plus $20 per hour (prep/admin time).

CRP- Summer 2025
Communication Readiness Program (CRP) will be a 6-week program, 4 days a week (M-TH) from June 16-July 24 from 8:15 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The students will be in the program from 9-12:00. It will be held in Danville. CRP is primarily designed for children ranging in age from 5-7. Our primary focus is communication, school readiness, and literacy skills. We will also have art, music and motor activities.
This opportunity will involve working with children who are non-verbal or have limited verbal language. Classroom Aides will be expected to assist the teacher in prepping for stations, assisting the students during circle time, station work, free time, recess and in the bathroom. The job will entail working with all CRP staff including Speech & Language Pathologists and Interns to address school readiness and speech and language goals. Implementation of modifications/adaptations along with motivating and inspiring the children to work to their full potential are a crucial part of this position. This is an ideal summer position for those interested in seeking a career in Special Ed, SLP, OT PT, psychology or nursing.
