The Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area’s (DSCBA) number one concern is always the safety and health of our members, volunteers and staff. As you know, we are in times of uncertainty regarding the effects of the COVID-19 Virus.
We are committed to follow the recommendations of our local public health departments which includes cancelling or postponing programs where safe social distancing can be difficult.
Therefore, the DSCBA has made the difficult decision to postpone the ImprovaGanza Workshop and the Galactic Gala. Please Save the Dates for our upcoming events!
Registration will be opening soon!
A three-hour Improv Workshop for our members with Down syndrome.
Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk
Registration will be opening in end July.
SUDS Walk is scheduled tentatively for October 11th.
We Still Need You!
As you know, the Covid-19 Pandemic forced us to put one of our largest fundraisers of the year online through a virtual Galactic Online Auction. While quite successful, last week's auction fell short on our Fund-A-Need goal. Since early March all programs and support services went virtual serving more families than ever before. We empower our families to teach at home and our help line remains open 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
What is Fund-A-Need?
It’s a virtual paddle raise where you donate cash. Our “need” is to stay strong in 2020 and WE NEED YOU to make that happen! In past years you may have attended our gala and raised your paddle. This year, please raise your virtual paddle by contributing any level of support to our FUND-A-NEED and Keep the CONNECTION Strong!
We are committed to following state and local safety guidelines and therefore made the decision to reschedule the DSCBA Galactic Gala to October 17th. Our hope is that by fall restrictions will be lifted, the world will be healing, and we will be able to gather together to celebrate with all of you.
